Clyde Hoadley
Clyde Hoadley, age 62, a resident of rural Pelican Rapids, MN, died on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his home near Pelican Rapids.

Clyde Eugene Hoadley was born in Pelican Rapids to Ralph and Marion "Kit" (Kittleson) Hoadley on August 6, 1950. He grew up near Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1968. After high school Clyde worked for Wright Tree Service. Then he worked for ORD Manufacturing in Pelican Rapids as a foreman. On July 22, 1973 he was united in marriage to Judi Johnson at the First Congregational Church in Pelican Rapids. After his employment with ORD, he was employed by Bob Ressett as a manager at the Pelican Home Center. From 1990 to the present time he owned and operated Northwest Glass and Services in Pelican Rapids.

A memorial service for Robert A. Brown, 74, Valley City, ND will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Valley City. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City. A prayer service will be held there beginning at 7:00.

On August 12, 1938, Robert Allen Brown became the first born to Alex and Irma (Samuelson) Brown. He was born in Hoople, ND. Bob attended school in Hannah, ND. From 1958-1961, he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California while serving in the US Army.

Faye McDougall
Faye McDougall, age 90, of Rolla, ND passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Towner County Living Center, Cando, ND.

Faye McDougall was born on June 11, 1923 in Rolla, ND to Arthur and Jean (McKay) Wayne. She was raised in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School. Faye was united in marriage to James McDougall on September 16, 1944 in Devils Lake. Together they raised three sons, Ross, Michael, and John, and a daughter, Sue. Faye and James farmed Northeast of Rolla for many years before moving into Rolla in the fall of 1978. She enjoyed being at home, working in the hayfields, and being around young children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye loved her family dearly and all of her time spent with them. She was a life member of the Presbyterian Church in Rolla, donating much of her time and care to the church as a member of the UPW, United Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of the IOOF, International Order of Odd Fellows, Rebekah Chapter and the Picton Homemakers Club. Faye will be lovingly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends.

Mark "Whitey" Nordick
Mark "Whitey" Nordick, 85 of Breckenridge, MN died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. The funeral will be 10:30AM, Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, MN. The visitation will be from 4:00-8:00PM with prayer service will be at 7:00PM, Sunday, June 30, at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge and again one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Father Stan Wieser will be officiating. The interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Brushvale, MN with full military honors.

Mark "Whitey" as he was fondly referred to by family and friends, was born to Henry and Mary (Thuente) Nordick in Kent, MN where he grew up and attended school. After his schooling, he helped on the family farm until joining the US Army on July 19, 1951. He served in the Korean War conflict as a Radio Operator, specializing in Morris Code. After his discharge from the military July 1, 1953, Whitey returned home to work on the family farm.
