Janice E. (Thoe) Aafedt
Janice E. (Thoe) Aafedt, age 71, of West Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014, at her home.

Janice was born on May 29, 1942 in Valley City, ND and raised by Elmer and Jessie (Currie) Thoe. She group up on the family farm in Dahlen, ND with her parents and brother, Harley. Janice graduated from Dahlen high school in 1960. She then moved to Minneapolis, MN where she attended school to become an assistant dental hygienist. After graduating, she moved to Fargo, ND where she worked as an Assistant Dental Hygienist, eventually marrying Roger Aafedt on June 21, 1961. In 1967 they moved back to the family farm in Fordville, ND where they raised their three children. In 1990 Janice moved to Fargo where she worked for 20 years as a nursing assistant until she retired in 2011. Janice loved music, cards, sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Jean Frances (Steenstrup) Grubbs, 80, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.

Jean was born October 19, 1933 to Henry (Harry) and S. Gail (Carr) Steenstrup in Minot, ND. She attended local public schools and graduated from Minot High School. She went to finishing school at Stephens College, and later earned a teaching certificate at Minot State.

Donald Hoff
Donald passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 78.

Donald was born on August 10, 1935, the son of Joe and Ottilia (Froelich) Hoff, near Richardton, ND. He grew up in this area and received his education. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army near the end of the Korean Conflict, serving three years. Following his discharge he returned to North Dakota.

Vernon L. Jenson
Vernon L. Jenson, 88, of Moorhead, MN, formerly Ulen, MN, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the palliative care unit of Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Vernon Lester Jenson was born March 24, 1925, the son of Nile and Ida Jenson near Gary, MN. He grew up in rural Norman County where he worked various farm jobs. In 1944, Vernon entered the United States Army during WWII where he served in the Philippians and Japan. On March 10, 1950, Vernon was united in marriage to Lorraine Knudtson in Moorhead. The couple made their home near Ulen, where they farmed and raised dairy and beef cattle until retiring and moving into Moorhead in 1993. Lorraine died in November of 2001. Vernon continued living in his own home until moving into Arbor Park Living Center in December of 2012.
