Vernon Donald Pranke, 89, of Fessenden died June 22, 2013 at his home.

Vernon was born June 18, 1924 in New Rockford, ND. The son of Frank and Adella Pranke, he grew up on the family farm in Bremen township. After attending elementary school in rural Bremen, Vernon graduated from Fessenden High School in 1942 and attended the Minnesota School of Agriculture in St. Paul, MN for two years.

Roger Maris charity auction reports 111 items stolen from storage facility
FARGO – The Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament’s annual charity auction started out with bad news, but quickly refocused on the spirit of the event, which is to raise money for good causes. The tournament’s auction chairman and coordinator Jerry Rostad said that a storage facility located in north Fargo – which stores items the tournament includes in its live and silent auctions – was burglarized sometime last month.

Richard Lande
Richard Allen Lande, 63, of Mayville, ND passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND, under the care of Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Richard the son of William "Bill" and Frances Lande of Mayville ND, born August 17, 1949 at Union Hospital Mayville ND. He attended Lindaas School until the 5th grade then attended Mayville High School. After high school he worked in Fargo for a short time at A-Transmission City. While in Fargo Richard raced cars for Ernie Brookings and enjoyed that very much.
