Annie Emilia Carlson was born in Wolverton, MN on November 7, 1913, to Charles and Anna Carlson. She attended school in Comstock, MN. Annie married Elvin Egge on May 13, 1941. They moved to the Hickson/Wild Rice area, where they farmed until they retired. Elvin died in 1999, and Annie moved to Riverview Place in Fargo.
