Fargo - Tucked away in a box above the crowds at the North Dakota Horse Park is Bubby Haar. Armed with binoculars and a microphone, he acts as the eyes and ears of the horse races at the ND Horse Park. He was there when it opened in 2003 and has been in the booth every day it has returned to Fargo. After Sunday, Haar finished his ninth season calling races in Fargo.

Wesley Levi Manikowski - Mogren, 23 months of Geneseo, ND passed away Wednesday July, 17, 2013. Funeral service will be Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Bergen Lutheran Church, Lidgerwood, ND with Rev. Bob Caranicas officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lidgerwood, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Bergen Lutheran Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Pallbearers are: Bobbie Jo Manikowski, Levi Manikowski, Dave Mogren & John Manikowski. Honorary pallbearers are: Maxine Ebel, Eric Ebel, Wyatt & Walker Mogren & all those who rode and played beside him. Organist will be Curt Brownlee with special music by Dani Heinrich.

Wesley Levi was born August 29, 2011 in Sisseton, SD, the son of Tessa Manikowski & Mike Mogren. He was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church on September 5, 2011.

Virgil Warner
Virgil Warner, 86, rural Fingal, ND died Tuesday July 16, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, ND.

Virgil was born July 20, 1926 on a farm home in Clifton Township, Cass County, ND to Rosswell and Mabel (Bayliss) Warner, the fourth of seven children. He attended country school in Clifton Township and several years in Lucca Public School, Barnes County, ND. At age 17 he became a full time farmer and the provider for the family.

Charlotte Morrow
Charlotte Ruth Morrow, 94, Fargo passed away peacefully to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo. She was born on March 20, 1919 in Erie, ND to Clark and Florence Hill. She grew up on her family farm near Erie, ND. She graduated from school in Erie and Fargo Business College.

On June 27, 1940 Charlotte married the love of her life, William (Bill) H. Morrow and they enjoyed the next 73 years together. They lived in Fargo until moving to Dilworth in 1960. There, they raised champion Arabian horses for 35 years. Later they enjoyed many years of retirement at the FOS in Mesa, AZ.
