Francis Jacob Cox, 85 of Ellendale, ND was born April 28, 1928 to Charles and Emma Lena (Watson) Cox in Mason City, IA.
He was raised on the farm and attended school in Mason City. Fran also worked with his father in the family well drilling business. After his fathers death in 1945 Fran ran the family business until he entered the United States Navy in 1946. Fran served on the US Kersage and the US Midway as ship fitter doing damage control and attended firefighters school in Philadelphia, PA. On a peace keeping tour around the world, Fran enjoyed shore leave in England, Italy, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Iceland and Cuba. After Fran was honorably discharged in 1948 he returned to Mason City where he worked in a meat packing plant and sugar beet plant.

Donald D. Lontz, 90, of Moorhead, died Monday, May 27, 2013 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
Donald David Lontz was born on January 25, 1923, to Clifford and Charlotte (Black) Lontz in South Bend, IN. His father died in 1927 and subsequently he moved to Fargo in 1933 with his mother, two sisters and brother. Don graduated from Fargo Central in 1941. John Michael Wiedeman, 54, of Lake Park, MN passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, in his home.
John M. Wiedeman was born June 19, 1958 in Council Bluffs, IA to William C. and Ruby Wiedeman. His family later moved to Columbus, NE where he was raised and attended Catholic school. In the winter of 1969 his parents and all six siblings moved to Lake Park, MN. John attended Lake Park High School. During that time he met Sherri Sahlberg of Hawley, MN. They were united in marriage on October 7, 1974 in Sisseton, SD. They made their home and started their family in Hawley, MN. He started working for Sturdevant's Auto Parts in Moorhead in 1975. They had their first child, Nicole on May 16, 1975. Then their son, Jacob, was born November 4, 1979. Their third child, Natasha, was born April 15, 1981. John and Sherri began their hobby farm of raising hogs. They moved to the farmstead north of Lake Park, where John was raised, in the summer of 1991. They continued raising hogs for several years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He had many talents such as auto mechanic work and he enjoyed creating wood furniture for his family and friends. He had a keen memory for history, facts, and part code numbers. John is well known for his bubbly personality and could make anyone laugh or smile. He always had a funny joke to tell and enjoyed having a good time. John and Sherri enjoyed taking their kids on vacations, and spending their time together traveling and going to casinos. He also loved bonding with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandkids.
