Thorson remembers roots: Fargo native pays homage to local coaches
Fargo Dave Thorson has worked with some of the best basketball coaches and players in the world. Thorson, a 1984 graduate of Fargo South, has won four Minnesota boys basketball state championships as the coach of DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis. He has been an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota and is frequently asked to lend his coaching talents at the LeBron James Nike Skills Camp.

LaMoure great Thielges passes away
FARGO – Leon Thielges was the senior leader of the 1976 LaMoure High School boys basketball team that won the North Dakota Class B state championship. The Loboes’ leader passed away Tuesday at the age of 54. Thielges scored a combined 75 points at the 1976 state tournament and helped LaMoure to an undefeated mark of 29-0.
