Shirley (Rorvig) Danforth, 83, died on February 5th, 2013 in Southern California of a heart attack, She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mervin Danforth, who died in April 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Oscar Rorvig of Binford, North Dakota, Mervin's parents, Florence and Verne Danforth and Mervin's sister, Muriel Danforth.

Shirley was born and raised in Binford, ND. Upon graduating from high school she pursued her nursing degree and met her future husband, Mervin, while in nursing school. She proudly worked as a registered nurse, retiring from Kaiser Permanente in Southern California.
