BOSTON — The Red Sox and the Bruins both scrapped their games. The famous Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall was closed, and there were more pigeons than tourists on City Hall Plaza. Even the Starbucks at Government Center was shuttered.

Loyal Edward Busby
Loyal Edward Busby, Jr., 87, Hitterdal, MN, passed away April 16, 2013, at his farm home in Goose Prairie Township where he lived his entire life.
Loyal was born July 2, 1925, to Loyal (Sr.) and Stella (Lundberg) Busby at home in Goose Prairie Township. He was baptized and confirmed in Salem Lutheran Church. He graduated as valedictorian from Hitterdal High School in 1943. Loyal married Doloris Hogenson July 29, 1944, at her parents’ home in Hagen Township. Loyal and Doloris shared 63 years of marriage and raised ten children on their farm near Hitterdal. Loyal farmed until he retired at age 75. In addition to farming, he worked 17 campaigns at American Crystal, did carpentry work and custom baling. Loyal married Ida Lewis June 5, 2010, in a lawn wedding at Loyal’s farm surrounded by their families.

FARGO – There are not many people as well qualified to be a spokesperson for Omaha, Neb., as Conor Riley. The city is his old stomping grounds. He grew up in Nebraska’s largest city. He was a standout football player for Creighton Prep High School and later played at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He was an assistant coach for the Mavericks. His parents and seven brothers and sisters live in the vicinity. Mr. Omaha.

Koneck, Bernice Victoria Hildegard age 79, of Fargo, passed away April 13, 2013.
Preceded in death by parents, two sisters and four brothers. Bernice (“Gamie” to family members) was born in Kenyon, MN; lived in the Twin Cities for 33 years, followed by No.Dak. and Neb. Her family was her life and devotion; Gamie lives on in all their hearts.
