She was born July 27, 1975 in Greybull, WY. She grew up in Wyoming with a love of time spent breaking and training horses, hunting, and many other outdoor activities with her family. She graduated from Faith Baptist High School in 1993, and then attended college in Sheridan. Liesa was proud to have earned her Certified Pharmacy Technician with an Associate Degree of Applied Science from North Dakota State College of Science.

Clement Sherek
Clement Jacob Sherek, 90, Fargo, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Clement was born in Lankin, ND, Walsh County, on September 4, 1922 to Jacob and Madeline (Helt) Sherek. Clement grew up in Lankin, ND. He graduated from Lankin High School on the 23rd day of May, 1940. Clement farmed with his parents, Jacob and Madeline Sherek in Lankin, ND. In 1943 Clement met the love of his life, Blanche Annette (Ackerland). They were married November 21, 1945 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lankin, ND. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1951, where Clement was employed as a salesman at Gamble Robinson. Clement was employed as a semi-truck driver and drove to many states over 35 years. He made many friendships throughout the country, and was affectionately called “Amigo”.

Patrick David Wilkie, 26, Minot, ND, formerly of Wahpeton, ND passed away on June 21, 2013 in an accident near Stanley, ND. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton with Father Dale Lagodinski as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer vigil at 7 PM at St. John's Catholic Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church on Friday. There will also be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in New Town, ND. Interment will be at the New Town Cemetery. Local arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Patrick David Wilkie was born on March 22, 1987 in Breckenridge, MN to Shavonne (Sand) and David W. Wilkie. He was a member of the Mandan, Arikara, and Hidatsa Nation and also descended from the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (Bear Clan) and of Norwegian heritage. His Indian name is "White Horse" which was given to him by Gilson Mandan. He was a member of the Chicken Clan

Wallace Howard Ladwig
Wallace Howard Ladwig was born on March 16, 1926 to Walter and Katherine (Thomas) Ladwig on the family farm near Lawndale, MN. He attended country school east of Lawndale (District 72). He then continued high school and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1945.

Wally entered the US Army in the early 1950’s. He was stationed in Korea for over a year during that time, then stayed in the Army Reserves until 1959. He returned home to the family farm west of Lawndale where he lived his entire life. He worked that land for many years with his family. In 1965, he bought the family farm becoming the third generation of family there. Wally was united in marriage to Jeannie Patten on April 30, 1988 in Pelican Rapids, MN.

Jean Betty Anderson, 95, of Fargo, ND, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Jean Betty was born February 10, 1918 to H.C. and Claire Aamoth in Valley City, North Dakota. At the age of two the family moved to Fargo where she lived the rest of her life. She received her college degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin at Madison after spending her first two years at the University of North Dakota. Her lifelong dream was to become a clothing designer, but that was not to be as Wisconsin did not offer that major. She was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. After college, Jean Betty was offered a fellowship at the University of Washington, but she declined to return home and marry.

Norman Albertson, age 98, of Twin Valley, MN, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the Twin Valley Living Center.

Norman Albertson was born August 1, 1914, at Syre, MN, to Clarence and Hannah (Dullum) Albertson. As a young boy, he grew up in Flom, MN, where he attended a one room school house until age 10. His father, Clarence, took a job as a P.V. Elevator grain buyer in Syre and Norman continued his schooling near Syre, through the 8th grade. School bus transportation was not available to attend the high school in Twin Valley so that ended his formal education.
