Loving mother of 4, mother-in-law to 4 and “Noni” to 5 grandchildren, Joanne Sara Otteson passed away peacefully on March 5, 2014 in Napa, California at the age of 84.

Born to Olga Carlson Eidem and Orville Eidem in Northwood, ND, Joanne spent her childhood and early adult years in Grand Forks, ND. Her love of music led her to her first job at Poplar’s Music Store and that love continued throughout her life. She married Armond (Ted) Otteson, Jr. (deceased 1974) in 1952 and after a brief time in Los Angeles, they settled in Fargo, ND, where all but their eldest was born. Ted and Joanne ran a lithography and graphic arts business that they started in Fargo for many years.

AnnaMarie Jones was born May 6, 1928, to Charlie and Inga (Haukom) Jones, on a farm north of Devils Lake, ND. The family moved to a farm east of Southam, ND, when she was three months of age. In April of 1940, they moved to a farm east of Thief River Falls, MN.

AnnaMarie was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in May of 1946. She worked for Taxeraas Implement Company from 1946 to 1956, as parts manager, and later as office manager. AnnaMarie moved to Fargo, ND, in December of 1956, where she worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad, as a clerk, until July of 1958.
