The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, at Bethany Free Lutheran Church, rural Abercrombie, ND. Visitation will be Friday, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM, with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton. There will also be visitation from noon until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Bethany Free Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors by the ND Military Honor Guard.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Alice Christina (Thum) Rausch, 71, Moorhead, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.

She was born on June 14, 1942, in Minnie Lake Township, North Dakota. Her parents were Alfred and Emma (Krack) Thum of rural Page, N.D. She graduated from Page (N.D.) High School in 1960.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation, along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol, temporarily closed Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Jamestown on Thursday morning due to high winds causing areas of zero visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
