Eldora Theresa Thornton was born on June 21, 1933 in Plummer, MN to Alvin Anthony and Pauline Josephine (Starman) Thornton. She attended school in Plummer.

On April 8, 1950 Eldora was united in marriage to Charles Hovde. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Barnesville. She worked in several places including the café, picking potatoes during harvest time, worked at the nursing home, and also for many years at the King Koin Laundromat.

Eugene (Gene) David Dooley
Eugene (Gene) David Dooley, 83, of Wheatland, ND, died peacefully on Thursday, October, 10, 2013, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, after a courageous fight with a terminal illness.

Gene was born December 17, 1929, near Windsor, ND, to Frank and Julia (Kensok) Dooley. He attended grade school in Windsor, 8th grade at the Gill School near Wheatland and High School in Casselton, ND. From 1950-52, he served in the US Air Force during the time of the Korean War. He attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. He farmed with his Dad and brother, Jim, worked at Peterson’s Grocery Store, was a mail carrier for the US Postal Office in Fargo, and worked for Doughboy Feed in Casselton and the Agronomy Seed Farms in Fargo during the winter months.

Clifford Arnold Pazdernik
Clifford Arnold Pazdernik, 92, of Breckenridge, MN passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge, MN. The funeral will be 2:00PM, Friday, October 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, with the visitation one hour prior to the funeral. The Celebrant is Father Joe Backowski. The interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Breckenridge.

Cliff was born to Charles and Anna (Ujka) Pazdernik on June 27, 1921 in Breckenridge. He farmed along with his father, attending country school a few miles from the farmstead, graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1939 as Valedictorian and furthered his education at North Dakota State School of Science in 1941. Cliff studied Liberal Arts and took flying lessons during his college years, resulting in a solo flight.

Lloyd C. Thorstad
Lloyd C. Thorstad, 94, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, in Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Lloyd was born March 6, 1919, in Hatton, ND, to Melvin and Selma (Foss) Thorstad. He grew up and attended school in Hatton until moving to Clifford, ND, at the age of 20. On April 24, 1940, he married Stella Sorenson. Together they moved to Ada, MN, where they farmed from 1945 - 1949. They later moved to Fargo and he worked at Cass Clay Creamery until retirement. Lloyd was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the accordion, often playing at dances around the area. Lloyd had most recently resided at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. He will be missed.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 73 years, Stella; brother, Wendell (Corrine) of Fargo; sister, Avis Keonig; and nieces and nephews.
