Eugene W. "Gramps" Frey
Eugene Frey, 85, of Moorhead,passed away peacefully surrounded by family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley on Jan. 28, 2014. Eugene was born at home in Moorhead to William (Bill) and Ellen (Olson) Frey on March 3, 1928. He was a lifelong resident of Moorhead. Eugene was a “cracker jack” mechanic and would help anyone he could.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Frey, Dilworth,a nephew, Greg (Karen) Frey, nieces Peggy (Dennis) Reed and Debbie Vierkant, all of Moorhead.

Charles "Chuck" Martinson
Charles "Chuck" Martinson, 79, of Barnesville, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Vibra Hospital in Fargo with his family by his side.

Charles Robert Martinson was born on July 27, 1934 to Gilbert and Minnie (Skriden) in Rothsay, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay. He attended school in Rothsay and graduated in 1951.

Denver Vance Helland
Denver Vance Helland, formerly of Kathryn, ND died January 28, 2014, at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND. Denver was born, August 26, 1913, to Henry and Mabel (Vance) Helland in Hill County, Havre, MT. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

He married Mabel Olson on October 12, 1940 in Ft. Ransom, ND. She died May 31, 2000. Denver worked in the Navy shipyard in Bremerton, WA during WWII.

Rosella "Sally" Vigen
Rosella "Sally" Vigen, 76, Wahpeton, ND, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minnesota. The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 31, 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 PM to 7 PM with a 7 PM Prayer Service at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton. There will also be visitation one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Sally was born February 21, 1937, near Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Nickoli and Agnes (Halvorson) Wick. She attended rural school, District 80. Sally was united in marriage to Donald W. Vigen on March 5, 1955 in Fergus Falls. The couple lived in Fergus Falls until 1957 when they moved to Wahpeton, ND. Sally worked at Dutchman's Bakery and the National Tea in Wahpeton. She later worked at Imation until her retirement. Donald passed away June 20, 1999, Sally continued to reside in Wahpeton occasionally serving "sample products" at Econofoods and doing volunteer work at St. Francis in Breckenridge.
