The first day of autumn this year was Sept. 22. It is the day of the autumnal equinox, a term based on the journey of Earth around the sun. On that day, day and night are each almost 12 hours long. Michelle Stensgard
Michelle Rae "Shelly" (Swan) Stensgard, daughter of M. Gale and Myrna Swan, was born September 19, 1961, in Moorhead, MN. She was raised in Fargo, ND, and attended Fargo North High School. She worked in the food service industry, at several restaurants, and was most recently employed at Marlin's Family Restaurant in Fargo.

Michelle was blessed with two sons, Christopher and Tyler Stensgard, whom she loved dearly. Her family and friends were a big part of her life. She spent many hours entertaining and sitting around the bon fire. Michelle also loved children, and especially loved spending time with her grandson, Jaiden Stensgard, son of Christopher and Sondra. Her dogs were another love, and animals were a joy to her.

Bob Walker
Bob Allan Walker, 52, Walcott, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo. He was born on March 29, 1961 to Everett and Toni (Cossette) Walker in Moorhead, MN. Part of his childhood was spent in California before returning to North Dakota. He attended Kindred High School. Following high school, he worked in construction until 1992 when he started his own company, Bob’s Maintenance, where he served as the “Maintenance Man Extraordinaire” in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Later in life he worked at the Kindred School, where he really liked working with the children.

Bob enjoyed the country life and appreciated the time he spent on his farmstead in rural Walcott. He loved doing anything outdoors, whether it was shooting guns, camping, fishing, four wheeling, and even scuba diving.
