Emil Nelson, 98, of Edgeley, ND, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Jamestown, ND.

Emil Tolstrup Nelson was born on January 2, 1916, in Willowbank Township, LaMoure County, North Dakota to Laurtis “L.L.C.” Nelson and Magdalena K. (Jessen) Nelson. He attended country schools and graduated from Edgeley Public School in 1934. Emil attended North Dakota Agricultural College and was a member of Alpha Gamma Ro fraternity. He graduated from Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. Emil married Marian Donaldson, of Fargo, on September 7, 1940 and they farmed in Willowbank Township, raising three children.
