Aldene Mewes, 88, of Colgate, ND died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, ND under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Aldene Marvel , along with her twin brother Allen were born on February 8, 1926 in Page, ND to Herman and Ida (Johnson) Willert. Aldene grew up in Page, ND and graduated from Page High School in 1944. Aldene met her life partner, friend and husband John Mewes in Page and they were married on June 15, 1944. They made their home in Colgate where they were both engaged in farming. In 1973 they moved to Fargo, ND but remained active in farming until John's death in 1998.

Claude Hodges, 85, Fargo, ND died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Claude Elwood Hodges Jr. was born April 6, 1928 in Fargo. He served overseas in the US Army during World War II. When he returned state side, he worked at the West Fargo Stockyards and as a truck driver. He lived in Tacoma, WA for several years before returning to West Fargo in 2008. Claude entered Bethany Retirement Living in 2009.

Ellsworth “Ed” Dollinger, 73, Fargo passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Essentia Health, Fargo surrounded by family and friends.

Ed was born July 4, 1940 in Venturia, North Dakota to Walter and Lea (Aman) Dollinger. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1958. He married Janice Medenwald on September 7, 1963 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND. Ed was a baker by trade, helping Steve Dahl open Dahl’s SuperValu, now Hornbacher’s Express.
