Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson
Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson, age 81, of Oakes, ND, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Oakes Community Hospital, Oakes, ND.

Elizabeth Ann Iverson, daughter of Edward and Murial (Johnson) Iverson was born September 2, 1931 at Brampton, North Dakota. She attended Brampton country school and graduated from Ellendale High School. Betty earned her teaching certificate from Ellendale Normal Institute and then taught country school for one year at Brampton. She was united in marriage to Alfred Anderson on June 16, 1950 at the Cogswell Lutheran Parsonage. They made their home in Fargo before buying a farm and returning to the Brampton community, where they raised their children. In 1965 they moved to Oakes, and Betty was employed at the Oakes Hospital. For years, Betty and Alfred enjoyed having a house full of daycare kids. Each one of them had a special place in their heart, and it was like going to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Betty and Alfred also cleaned at various churches in Oakes.

Earl Herman Redlin
Earl Herman Redlin, 95 of Ellendale, ND died December 21, 2012 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. He was born July 20, 1917, to Robert Julius and Thersa (Zirbel) Redlin in rural Codington County, SD. Earl was educated in Watertown, SD where he graduated from high school furthering his education at Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD.

Earl became a teacher for five years in Waubay, South Dakota where he met, Ruth, his bride of 71 years. They were married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster, SD on May 31, 1941.
