Sweet 16th state softball title for West Fargo
WEST FARGO – Sixteen strikeouts equaled 16 straight titles for West Fargo. That was the number Packers pitcher Brittany Rheault was stuck on Minot Ryan on Saturday night in another beauty of a North Dakota Class A state softball championship game between the two teams. The 1-0 victory at Elmwood Park was the same score West Fargo won by last year.

Lucy Mae Ruen
Lucy Mae Ruen, 4, daughter of Megan Ruen, passed away on May 25, 2013 at her home in Fargo from complications of pneumonia. Cremation has taken place and internment will be held at a later date.

Lucy was born March 20, 2009 in Fargo. She was a sweet little girl who was a gift of love to her loving mother, family and all that knew her. Lucy had much to teach us and touched people in her own special way. She was a fighter, exceeding everyone’s expectations. She was our red-headed little hero…who looked great in pink!

Harry Rinowski, 87, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Harry Louis Rinowski was born January 9, 1926 in Greenbush, MN to Joseph and Frances (Johnson) Rinowski. He grew up and attended school in Greenbush until entering the US Navy in 1943. He proudly served during World War II as a “Tin Can Sailor” on the USS Twining and the USS Owen. After his honorable discharge in 1947, he returned to Thief River Falls, MN.
