LeRoy O. Jacobson
LeRoy O. Jacobson, 89, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND. LeRoy was born in Wolverton, MN, on December 18, 1923, to Axel and Dorthea (Olson) Jacobson. He grew up on the family farm and later continued farming on his own in Christine, ND, until retiring in 1978. On January 10, 1987, he married Leona Weidner in Fargo, ND. Together they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Leona died on December 27, 2008. LeRoy was a member at Triumph Lutheran Church in Moorhead.

LeRoy is survived by step-children, David (Kathy) Weidner, Sabin, MN, Diane (Larry) Haug, Minot, ND, and Carol (Jim) Thoreson, Fargo, ND.

Joshua Taylor Wold was granted his angel wings on June 10, 2013, following a serious motorcycle accident on June 2, 2013. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Josh had touched in some way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Josh was born on May 5, 1989 to Lynn and Sara Wold. He was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Abercrombie, ND. He graduated from Richland High School, Colfax, ND in 2007 and attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He was currently employed by Myron Tschakert Farms and had previously worked at Northland Truss Systems, Abercrombie.

Virginia Louise Weigel
Virginia Louise Weigel, 83, resident of Callaway, MN, died Wednesday, May 8 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Virginia Louise Stach was born September 16, 1929 on the farm near Wolverton, MN to Max and Anna (Swenson) Stach. At age 6, her family relocated to a farm near Callaway, MN. Virginia attended country school in Callaway Township through the 8th grade. She worked her way through high school by waitressing at the Graystone Hotel, and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1949. On October 31, 1949, Virginia was united in marriage to Sherman Weigel at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Callaway. They resided near Callaway and started their family. They lived briefly in the Twin Cities and Richwood, MN before moving in 1961 to their current home, her childhood farm.

Frank Kimm, 75, of Pelican Rapids, MN passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Frank Arthur Kimm was born on May 1, 1938 in Wolverton, MN to Benjamin Franklin and Magna Christine (Westerlund) Kimm. He was baptized and confirmed at the Wolverton Lutheran Church in Wolverton. He also attended school in Wolverton and was a member of the last graduating class there in 1957. At the age of 16 years, Frank started his love of farming and cattle. He rented a barn and milked his own 5 cows by hand. He continued farming in Wolverton for a few years until moving to Pelican Rapids in 1963. He also served in the North Dakota Air National Guard, enlisting after his junior year in high school.
