Vera Jane (Ode) Hegedus
Vera Jane (Ode) Hegedus, 82, died May 29, 2013, at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, June 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Vera was born in Bismarck, the daughter of Herman and Emily (Caudel) Ode. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1948. She married John “Jack” Hegedus in July 1948 and resided in Bismarck. Vera and Jack had three children: Daryl, Bonnie and Greg. Vera worked many years at the First National Bank and at J.C. Penney’s. Besides working, Vera loved her daily walks. Jack and Vera were happily married for 63 years until Jack’s death in 2011. In September 2011, Vera moved to Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo to be close to her daughter Bonnie.
