Eugene "Gene" Gerdon
Eugene "Gene" Gerdon, 74, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013, enjoying a morning horse ride.

Eugene Erroll, son of John and Rachel (Mallack) Gerdon was born January 13, 1939 at Forbes, ND. They lived on a farm 14 miles Northwest of Forbes, where Gene and his sister Marlyss attended country school. In 1945, he moved with his parents and sister to rural Cogswell, ND. He attended country school near Cogswell until the 5th grade, and finished his schooling in Cogswell, graduating in 1956. Following his education, Gene worked for the Signal Department with the Great Northern Railroad in Minnesota, before returning home to help on the family farm. On August 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Margie Westra. They made their home near the farm. Gene was employed at the Lincoln Oakes Tree Nursery until he started driving truck for Bobcat in 1965. He was on the road a lot so it was Margie's job to be at home with their three children.

Rosemary L. Feltis
Rosemary L. Feltis, 83, of Lisbon, ND passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Rosemary Lorraine Cincera was born May 15, 1930 in Lisbon, ND the daughter of Frank V. and Rose A. (Wagner) Cincera. For her elementary education, she attended township schools and was a boarder/student at St. Aloysius Catholic School in Lisbon. She graduated from Lisbon Public High School in 1948. In 1953, Rosemary married Eugene J. Feltis in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Lisbon. They were married 23 years. Rosemary was employed at many local establishments, including the Ice Cream Store, Fischer’s Lounge, Vogue Cleaners, Triple Service, The Recreation Center, Hopper’s Restaurant and Hank’s Diner. She retired in 1992 after 18 ½ years as a punch-press operator in fabrication with Melroe Bobcat in Gwinner, ND.

Wesley Levi Manikowski - Mogren, 23 months of Geneseo, ND passed away Wednesday July, 17, 2013. Funeral service will be Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Bergen Lutheran Church, Lidgerwood, ND with Rev. Bob Caranicas officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lidgerwood, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Bergen Lutheran Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Pallbearers are: Bobbie Jo Manikowski, Levi Manikowski, Dave Mogren & John Manikowski. Honorary pallbearers are: Maxine Ebel, Eric Ebel, Wyatt & Walker Mogren & all those who rode and played beside him. Organist will be Curt Brownlee with special music by Dani Heinrich.

Wesley Levi was born August 29, 2011 in Sisseton, SD, the son of Tessa Manikowski & Mike Mogren. He was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church on September 5, 2011.

Roger White
Roger White, 70, Stirum, ND died April 25 at Sanford Medical Center surrounded by family. Roger was born July 31, 1942 in Britton, SD to Paul and Violet (Hill) White. He attended the Stirum School and went on to college in Wahpeton. In 1962, he married Connie Robins and together they had two children: Tracey and Paul. Roger worked at Melroe Manufacturing (Bobcat) until 1974 and then he took on full-time farming. He retired from farming in 2006. Roger was a Gwinner Volunteer Fireman, a member of North Sargent School Board, G.A. Men's Group, Stirum Community Club, Sargent County Water Board, Red River Basin Commission and Vivian Township Board. He became a member of the Mason's and Shiners' in 1998. Roger enjoyed his years of raising grain and row crops, pedal tractor pulls, go cart racing, car club and playing pool with friends. He looked forward to the summer when he could drive his '57 Ford Fairlane Convertible in area parades. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing and was always proud to watch his grandchildren in school events. Roger is survived by his wife, Connie; two children Tracey (Jerry) Waswick and Paul (Jennifer) White all of Gwinner, ND. Roger adored his five grandchildren; Shane and Dustin White, Emily, Sarahbeth and Ben Waswick. He is also survived by one sister; Carolyn Hopewell, Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service for Roger will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church, Gwinner. Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service following at 7:00 pm held at Armstrong Funeral Home in Lisbon. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Lisbon at a l
