OAKES, N.D. – After opening with two sub-par sets on Monday, the Fargo Oak Grove volleyball team ended on a roll. The Grovers swept North Sargent 25-23, 25-21, 25-15 in the quarterfinals of the Class B, Region 1 volleyball tournament at Oakes High School. Oak Grove (30-6) ended the third set with an 11-1 run to top the Bobcats. “We started off a little slow, but we came back and we played our best,” said junior middle hitter Hannah Kelley, who finished with eight kills for the Grovers.

When the amateur from Fargo walked off the final green on Saturday, about 50 people were watching him. That doesn’t happen every day.
