Dianna J. Booke, 52, Fargo passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.

Dianna was born June 6, 1961 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Duane and Rose (Taylor) Booke. She graduated from Fargo South High School in 1979. She then went on to attend 1 year of college at North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. Dianna worked in the Minneapolis area for a time before returning to Fargo where she worked for MeritCare Hospital and volunteered at Nativity Catholic Church.

Bradley K. Brakke
Brad passed away peacefully April 5, 2014, in Kirkland, Washington, surrounded by loving family after an extended hospitalization. Brad was born January 31, 1950, in Sharon, ND, the son of the late Kordiea (Rue) and Thomas Brakke. He grew up on the family farm in Steele County and later bought a home in Aneta, ND. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1968 and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration. Following college Brad returned to work on the family farm. On January 15, 2000, he married Vicki (Wheeler), a childhood companion, in Redmond, WA, at which time he began dividing his time between North Dakota during the farming season and Washington in the wintertime. He retired in 2011.

Brad is survived by his wife, Vicki, of 14 years; his brother Tim Brakke; his sister Kari Headington; nephews Thomas and Peter Headington; niece Alanna Rerick and her 3 children; stepchildren Jeff Burns and Kari Stokes; 3 step grandchildren Tayla, Rylan and Joshua; uncle Miles Brakke; aunt Rose Rue; and numerous cousins.

Donald L. Krause
Donald L. Krause, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Don was born on March 26, 1933, in Fargo, ND to William and Esmere (Tomhave) Krause. At age five, the family moved to Fergus Falls, MN where he began his education. Don graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1951. He then attended Concordia College, Moorhead, and completed three years when he was drafted in to the U.S. Army in 1954. He served two years with one year in Bomholder, Germany as a cryptographer. After his discharge in 1956 Don completed his education at Concordia College and graduated in 1957. That same year he began employment at Concordia College where he remained for fifty years in various positions as athletic coordinator, purchasing agent and manager of the Concordia motor pool. He served in the Army Reserve Co. B and ND National Guard for twenty three years.

Don was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead and served on the church council, a member of the Moorhead Kiwanis Club, C-400 Club, Concordia Athletic Hall of Fame and he received the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award at Concordia in 1998. Don also was the “corn cooker” for the annual Cobber corn feeds for thirty five years.

Douglas Lomsdal
Douglas Lomsdal, 81, Moorhead, MN, died suddenly on April 5, 2014 with his family by his side in Banner Hospital in Mesa, AZ, after having complications from surgery.

Douglas Palmer Lomsdal was born to Albert and Mabel (Lund) Lomsdal on July 23, 1932 near Calgary, Alberta Canada. He spent his childhood years in Canada, moving to Fargo, North Dakota when he entered the 8th grade. He graduated from Fargo Central High in 1950. He also attended Fargo Interstate Business College. Doug married Margaret Adams in Moorhead on February 27th, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage until Margaret's death in 2011.
