FARGO – A man who reported being carjacked by three people last week in south Fargo was arrested Tuesday night in connection with what Fargo police are describing as the city’s largest heroin seizure in recent memory – roughly 300 to 500 doses of the drug, at a street value of about $18,000.

Joshuah G. Nelson, 21 of Fargo, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Josh was born on August 29, 1991 in Grand Junction, CO to John Nelson and Jenenne Guffey and was raised in Fargo. He attended Fargo South High School where we was an accomplished wrestler and was currently employed with Cullen Insulation. Josh enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, sports of all kinds, history and just chillin’ with his friends. He was a very generous, loyal person with a warm heart who will be missed by all who knew him.

Lynda Eve Schmaltz, 68, West Fargo, ND died on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo.

Lynda Johnson was born Feb. 12, 1945 at Devils Lake, ND to Albert and Barbara (Piatz) Johnson. She grew up at Harlow, ND and graduated from Maddock High School. She moved to Fargo and married Michael Schmaltz on Jan. 7, 1985. They made their home in West Fargo. Lynda worked at Moorhead State University in facility maintenance for nearly 30 years.
