Margaret Ann (Peggy) Mickelson
Mickelson, Margaret Ann (Peggy) died peacefully at home on April 7, her beloved husband and daughter at her side. Peggy, daughter of Elmer and Martha Foss of Halstad, MN, was the third of four children. She met the love of her life, Gerald “Mick” Mickelson, of Shelly, in high school. They lived life hand in hand through 67 years of marriage. A talented pianist, Peggy played with the Ray Larson Orchestra in the 1940’s, taught piano and later worked as a secretary / bookkeeper. Founding members of Golden Valley Lutheran Church, Peggy and Mick moved to south Minneapolis and became members of Bethlehem Lutheran, remaining active as long as their health permitted. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings E. Marlowe Foss, Elaine Nelson and Roger Foss; and great granddaughter Brady Lindstrom, Peggy is survived by her loving husband; daughter Diane Brady; two treasured grandchildren, Christopher Brady and Colleen Brady Lindstrom (Matt); three great-grandchildren who delighted her in her last days, Oliver, Tilla and Keller Lindstrom; and many dear relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Rd, Edina on Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Memorials preferred to Gustavus Adolphus College or Normandale Lutheran Church Foundation and will be directed to music students and

Tom A. Oliver, 86, of Dilworth, MN, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.

Tom Antonio Oliver was born March 23, 1927, in Dilworth, the son of Frank and Dominica (Perzichelli) Oliver. He was raised there and attended school before entering the U.S. Navy in 1945. He served until 1946 and upon his discharge returned to Dilworth.

Jerome P. Bannach
Jerome P. Bannach, 76, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home.

Jerome Peter Bannach was born April 11, 1936 on the family farm near Calio, ND, the son of George and Agnes (Fetsch) Bannach. He attended Calio School and graduated from Egland High School. He attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, graduating with a degree in Accounting. He was employed with the Chevrolet Dealership in Cando, ND and later was employed and retired after 37 years with Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks. Jerome married Mary J. Mueller on March 29, 1967 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for 46 years and the Knights of Columbus for 55 years. He joined the Knights of Columbus Council 1779 in Devils Lake, ND in 1958 and transferred to the Knights of Columbus Council 1260 in Grand Forks, ND. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus; a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Dean M. Olson, 60, of Lake Park, MN, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his home.

Dean was born May 6, 1952 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Ardean and Eleen (Rosman) Olson. He grew up and attended school in Lake Park, MN, graduating from Lake Park High School in 1970. He then attended Moorhead Technical College and received a degree in electronics. Both during and after High School he worked for his Dad as a heavy equipment operator. On August 4, 1973 he married Benita (Pollock) in Ulen, MN. Dean then worked for Cenex and American Crystal Sugar before settling in to his career as Director of Television Services at Concordia College in 1979. Dean worked for Concordia until his retirement in March of 2012. Dean enjoyed electronics, photography, airplanes, air shows and spending time playing with his grandchildren. His positive outlook and humor will be greatly missed.

Lillian "Lil" Olson
Lillian “Lil” Olson, age 84, of Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.

Lil was born on July 10, 1928, to George and Margaret (Howell) Halliday in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up and attended school in Ardoch, ND, before moving to Fargo, where she graduated from Fargo High School. Lil then attended Business College in Fargo. Just prior to graduating she was hand-picked to work at a local bank in commercial accounts. On August 14, 1949, she married Howard John Olson at the Gospel Tabernacle in Fargo. Together they had four children. Lil shared her love of music by playing the piano and organ at home and her church. She also loved to sing and sang for the weekly church radio broadcasts, in the church choir and many small groups. Lil had an exceptional gift of hospitality and loved to entertain guests in her lovely home. She also shared this gift by serving many years as the wedding coordinator at First Assembly in Fargo. Most important to her was her personal relationship and faith in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Her husband was the one true love of her life and her family was her greatest source of love and joy.
