Born Sept. 14, 1950 in Highland Park Ill. to Hilmer (Red) and Maryann Schweigert. He passed on to be with the Lord on April 21, 2013. He grew up on a resort in Lincoln, MN., graduated from Motley High School in Motley, MN. He then joined the army and was a member of the 101st Airborne when he served two tours in Vietnam. When he returned from the war he went through a rebellious time. He then went back to a trade that his father taught him, welding and iron work. He worked the Dakotas and Minnesota as an Iron Worker. He married Marsha Mayaski, to this union they had a son. They later divorced. He then met and married the love of his life, Brandy.

Roger A. Elliott, West Fargo, ND, 69, passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness, on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Roger Allen Elliott was born on Feb. 27, 1944 in Fergus Falls MN to Robert and Rachel (Nelson) Elliott. He graduated from FFHS, was a member of the US Military (Army) and farmed near Dalton, MN. He married Opal Brist in 1965, and they had one child, Tami. They later divorced. Throughout his working career, he worked at Cass Clay Creamery, Pam Oil, Jacobson Transport, Pella Windows, Western Coop, and several other trucking companies. He married Nancy Kost in 1986. Together with their rescue dog, Whitty, they made their home in West Fargo. Roger and Whitty were well known to their neighborhood, due to their many daily walks and visits with all their neighbors. Roger always enjoyed sharing a good story with everyone he met. His quick wit and generous nature will be missed. His generosity followed him in death, with his decision to donate his body to UND School of Medicine for research.

Eugene Polum, 80, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Baywood Manor Medical Center in Mesa, AZ.

Eugene was born February 2, 1933 in Fargo, N.D. to Peter and Alice (Wilson) Polum. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Central High School in 1950. He married Lillian Averson in 1952, they later divorced and he married Barbara Mckinnon in 1969. She passed away in 1986 and he married Joyce Larson in 1989. He made his career in the Fargo Fire Department, becoming a Captain and serving 35 years until his retirement in 1990.
