Margaret Aasen
Margaret (Marge) Aasen, 87 of Mayville died peacefully while surrounded by her family on February 4, 2014 at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. She was born March 5, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, one of six children to Charles and Elizabeth Ferris.

She met the love of her life, Orlo (Ace) Aasen while he was in the Navy, and stationed in Philadelphia. It was love at first sight, and they were married six weeks after meeting on June 17, 1944. The couple moved to Mayville, ND where they lived for their entire wedded life of 67 years. Marge and Ace wintered in Arizona for 23 years, and spent many fun-filled summers entertaining at Lake Melissa and their backyard pool. Since being surrounded by friends and family brought her great joy, it was here that she was in her element.

Faye L. Gibbens
Faye Gibbens, 70, co-founder and longtime officer of the North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD), died Saturday, Feb. 1, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Inspired by their son, Mike, who was born with cerebral palsy, Faye Gibbens and her husband of nearly 50 years, Ron, built NDAD from a small Grand Forks support group to a statewide charitable nonprofit helping North Dakotans with a variety of disabilities and health challenges.

Oliver Anderson, 91 of Cooperstown, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota.

Oliver Wayne Anderson was born November 13, 1922 to Lars and Neva (LaPlant) Anderson in Pilot Mound Township, Binford, ND. He graduated from the 8th grade at Pilot Mound #1 School, then left school in 1936 to farm with his father.
