BASIN, WY……..Elaine Jean Morud, age 83, of Basin, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming.

Elaine was born August 18, 1930 in Mandan, North Dakota to Peter Fredrick and Wynona Violet (Todd) Sagmiller. She was raised in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School. Elaine went on to post-secondary schooling at Dakota Business College.

Clarence W. Erickson
Clarence Erickson was born prematurely on the family farm in Donnybrook, ND on March 19, 1923. He was nursed to health by his dedicated parents, Richard and Nellie (Hansen) Erickson. He was so tiny he fit in a shoe box. He received his education and graduated from Donnybrook High School in 1941.

Clarence joined the US Navy and was stationed at San Diego, CA, serving as highest AOM 3rd Class. He was honorably discharged on 5/2/1946.

Jon K. Echternacht
Jon Kelly Echternacht, 68, died at his home in River Falls on Saturday, March 29, of lung cancer. At his side were his sweetheart and wife of 28 years, Jeannie Gryzwa, and members of the family he loved so much.

Jon was born in Buffalo Center, Iowa, in 1945 to John “Jack” and Floreine “Flo” Echternacht. He grew up in Brainerd, Minn., with his sisters, Jane and Jean. He graduated in 1964 from Washington High School, where he was co-captain of the football team.
