Raymond E. Banderet was born November 12, 1921 to Louis and Louise (Cochet) Banderet on the family farm south of Straubville, ND. He departed this life Monday, April 29, 2013 at Oakes Good Samaritan Center in Oakes, ND, at the age of 91 years.

Ray attended rural grade schools and graduated from high school in Havana, ND in 1939. He farmed and raised livestock with his father and brother, Emil for many years. Later in life, he and Emil partnered with his nephews, Lowell and Bob.
