Joseph Harold Hanson, 92, Finley, ND died Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Sanford Mayville, Mayville, ND.

Joseph Harold Hanson was born April 2, 1921 near Sharon, ND, the son of Hagbert and Hilda (Ryan) Hanson. He grew up in the Sharon area and graduated from Sharon High School. He worked for the Johnson Farms and Martin Jensen. He moved to Minneapolis, MN where he worked for Gray Hound Bus Co. Joe was drafted into the US Army during WWII, he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. After being honorably discharged he returned to the Sharon area.

Mina J. (Otteson) Frank Age 84, formerly of Bloomington. Born February 6, 1930, died February 9, 2014. Proceeded in death by husband, Cecil. She is survived by children Wendy (Steve) Kidd, David Frank (Bill) and Nancy (Wayne) Peine: sister Helen Jensen (Jack Whisler), grandchildren Will Kidd, Janine (Scott) Jackson, Alison (Marty) Howard and Connor Peine and many nieces and nephews. Mina was born and raised in the small town of Wolverton MN, attended Moorhead State University and taught elementary school for several years in the towns of Hawley and Roseau MN. But her greatest achievement was that of wife, mother and grandmother, aunt and sister. Her kind, patient and optimistic spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21st 2014 at 11 AM at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Bloomington MN, with a church luncheon immediately following. Private interment at a later

Raymond "Ray" Zent
Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond "Ray" Zent, 75, of Mott, will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mott. Fr. Charles Zins will officiate and burial will follow at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday morning at the church. A Rosary and Wake service will be on Sunday evening at the Church at 7:00 p.m.

Raymond Francis Zent, the son of Raphael and Mary Renner Zent, was born on May 27, 1938 on his parents' farm in Cedar Butte Township south of Mott. Ray began his elementary education in a single-room school house at Cedar Butte #2 and finished his primary years at Lemmon Public School. Ray attended high school at the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, N.D. and then enrolled at North Dakota Agricultural College in Fargo, N.D. He was a member of the Farm House Fraternity. On May 21, 1961, he graduated from the newly named North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Science with a degree in Agricultural Mechanization. While attending college and for a short time after graduation, Ray worked for John Deere Corporation in Fargo. This was the beginning of his love of John Deere equipment.
