Ron “snowflake” Berglund, 77, Moorhead, MN died on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Ronald Peter Burton Berglund was born May 12, 1935 in Moorhead, MN to Alfred and Blanche (Strum) Berglund. He grew up at Comstock, MN and upon graduation the family moved to Moorhead. Ron married Cheryl Lien on July 17, 1954 in Fargo. They lived in the Fargo-West Fargo area along with Grand Forks before settling in Detroit Lakes, MN where they lived for 30 years. In 2007, they moved to Moorhead. Ron worked as a painter with Rothhouse Construction and Asp Construction before starting his own business, Berglund Decorating. He was a sub-contractor for many construction companies in the area.

Pearl Loftsgard
Pearl Loftsgard, 91 of Fargo and formerly of Park River, ND passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her home in Fargo.

Pearl Larson was born March 25, 1921 in rural Walsh County, the daughter of the late Olaf and Lena (Lien) Larson. She graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. Pearl was united in marriage to Eugene Loftsgard on October 18, 1946 in Park River where they made their home. They recently moved to Touchmark Assisted Living in Fargo, ND.

Clayton Cullen
Clayton Anthony Cullen, 83, of Fargo, ND, in accordance with his wishes, he passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family while praying his nightly rosary on February 6, 2013. He was under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

He was born on August 26, 1929 to Thomas A. Cullen and Alvina Rose (Lucier) in Fargo, ND. Clayton grew up in Fargo and attended St. Mary’s School. On August 18, 1951 he married Beverly Anderson and they made their home in Fargo for most of their lives. Clayton and Beverly found great comfort in their Christian faith. He was a loving father who adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Clayton enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and any time spent with family. He was the gold standard for husbands and fathers and he will be greatly missed.

Ardis Sylvia Mahlum
Ardis Sylvia Mahlum, 83, of Fertile, MN, and, wintering in Mesa, AZ, died at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

Ardis was born January 5, 1930, in Section 3 of Flom Township, Norman County, to Oscar and Rocelia (Lien) Stene. She received her elementary education at Plentywood country school, in District 12, 4 miles north of Flom, MN and graduated from Twin Valley High School. Ardis attended Fargo Business College after which she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Myhra Equipment Company in Fargo, ND until she got married.
