On Monday, May 20, 2013, the heavens received a new angel when Jodie Ann Waclaw, 46 of Wahpeton, ND, unexpectedly passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN. The funeral will be 11:00AM, Friday, May 24 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton, with a visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Father Dale Lagodinski will be officiating. The visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00PM with a prayer service at 7:00 on Thursday, May 23 at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge.

Jodie was born in Breckenridge, MN to Fred and Kathleen (Nelson) Waclaw on August 18, 1966. She grew up in Wahpeton, attending St. John's School though the eighth grade and graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1984. Following high school, she nannied for various families in the community until beginning her 19 year career in retail sales at Maurice's in Wahpeton, in 1994.

Marlys Rude
Marlys L. Rude, 76, Walcott, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. She was born on March 10, 1937 to Preston and Margaret (Nelson) Heglie in Breckenridge, MN.

She grew up in Walcott, ND and graduated from Walcott High School. Following graduation, she attended Interstate Business College and received a degree in Bookkeeping. She began her career at Anchor Casualty Insurance and later worked at Reinhart Brothers. While at Anchor Casualty, she met Rayder E. Rude and they were married on May 11, 1957 at Walcott Lutheran Church in Walcott. She worked for 26 years at the Harvest States Cooperative Elevator until her retirement.

Marlow Eugene “Red” Davidson
Marlow Eugene “Red” Davidson, age 82, was born Aug. 12, 1930 in Sherwood, ND and raised in Thief River Falls, MN. Passed away on May 19, 2013. Preceded in death by wife, Shirlee; son, Dwight. Survived by daughters, Dawn McNulty & Darcee (Jens) Hoj; granddaughters, Faith & Anne McNulty; brother, Dick (Audrey) Davidson. Red was a veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of Concordia College Moorhead. He was a teacher, coach and athletic director at Simley High School. Red was a beloved friend, mentor to many and a really cool guy. Memorial Service 11 AM Friday with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 7600 Cahill
