Richard L. Steffes, 63, Fargo, ND, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Richard "Dick" Steffes was born on May 4, 1949 in Fargo, ND to Edward and Catherine (Schroeder) Steffes. He grew up on the family farm in Arthur, ND. He Attended Arthur High School and graduated in 1969. Dick went on to attend NDSU in Fargo and also Minnesota State University Moorhead, obtaining three degrees. Dick farmed with his family for many years until he was diagnosed with MS in 1982. He married Sandy Eggert in Fargo.
