Shirley Ione (Larson) Sly
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN, at the age of 87. Shirley was born on December 5, 1925, in Dilworth, MN, where she remained a resident her entire life. Shirley graduated from Dilworth High School, worked at deLendrecies and Gate City Bank in Fargo, ND. Shirley married LeRoy J. Sly in 1949.
Shirley was preceded in death by son, Gerald Sly; granddaughter, Tiffany Sly; parents, Alma and Edward Larson; and 10 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, LeRoy Sly of Dilworth, MN; daughter, Lynda Young of Summit, NJ; son, James Sly of Sheridan, WY; daughter, Pauline Sly of Eden Prairie, MN; grandchildren, Tara Benedetti, Matthew Benedetti, Sabrina Sly, Tessa Sly Borucki, Chirstine Sly; great-grandson, Chase Conrad; and step-grandsons, Michael Borucki and Matthew Borucki.
