Genevieve Ristvedt
Genevieve passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at The Cottages Assisted Living in Detroit Lakes, MN, at the age of 86.

Genevieve Smith was born on April 12, 1927, the daughter of I.C.B. and Florence Smith, in Osnabrock, ND. She grew up in this area and graduated from Osnabrock High School. Genevieve graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Home Economics. She taught Home Economics at the Grafton High School, and later in Dickinson, ND. Genevieve was united in marriage to Gordon W. Ristvedt of Fargo in 1950. They made their home in Fargo for many years where they raised their family. Genevieve was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority, the Junior League of Fargo, the Elizabeth Seaton Study Club, PEO, and a long time member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, pontooning at the lake, dancing, playing golf and bridge with friends. Gordon passed away in 1997.
