Mary Rinkel
The Memorial Mass for Mary Rinkel will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, with Fathers Donald Wagner and Kurtis Gunwall as celebrants. Friends may call on Thursday, at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 and Parish Prayers at 7:00, and at the church on Friday one hour prior to the Mass. Mary passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2012 at the Perham Hospital in Perham, at the age of 71.

Mary was born September 1, 1941 in Perham, MN to Frank and Mildred (Mullen) Scully. She was raised on a farm outside of Dent and graduated from Perham High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Gabriel’s in Little Falls. She worked as an RN in various hospitals before becoming an educator, and developed and helped grow the nursing program at Wadena Technical College. It was a great joy when a former student came up to her and thanked her for the experience she provided.

Roy H. Messerschmidt
Roy H. Messerschmidt, age 81, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on January 2, 2013, at Sanford's Palliative Care Unit in Fargo. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

He was born on July 14th, 1931 to Edward and Clara Messerschmidt in Glyndon Minnesota. Following his schooling in Glyndon he began active duty with the Marines in 1952 and was discharged in 1954 but continued in the Marine Reserves until 1960.

Bernice LeDoux
Bernice LeDoux, of Fargo ND, died Sunday December 30th, at Sanford’s Palliative Care Unit in Fargo at the age of 80. She passed away as she lived, gently and gracefully, surrounded by her loving family and assisted to the end by the caring staff at Palliative Care.

She was born Bernice Catherine Vosen on November 14th, 1932 to her parents Hubert and Johanna Vosen, in Pierz, MN. She grew up with her four brothers and her sister in Little Falls, MN, which is also where she was educated. Later on, she was employed at the Little Falls bakery. It was during this time that she met and began dating her future husband, Murile (Duke) LeDoux, who had just returned from military service in Europe. Soon after their marriage in 1953, Duke was offered, and he accepted, a job with the Fargo Fire Dept. It is in Fargo where they would take root and raise a family of 6 children together.
