Funeral services for Delvin M. Ellefson of Starbuck, will be held Wednesday, May 15th at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Starbuck, MN. Reverend Paul Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm, with a prayer service at 6:30 pm, at the Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck. Burial will be at the North Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Pelican Rapids, MN.
Delvin Mentor Ellefson was born on August 21, 1942 to Gordon and Pearl (Shulstad) Ellefson in Barnesville, MN, where he grew up and attended school. Delvin was a 1960 graduate of Barnesville High School. He furthered his education at Interstate Business College and NDSU.

Orland K. Engebretson
Orland K. Engebretson, 81, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Ecumen –Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Orland was born on March 20, 1932, the son of Ener and Anna (Huseby) Engebretson in Scambler Township, rural Otter Tail County, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Pelican Rapids, graduating from high school in 1950. During his high school years, he excelled in baseball, basketball and football. As a young man, Orland enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Orland was united in marriage to Marlys Herfindahl on September 3, 1955 at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, Minnesota. Upon his return from the Korean War, Orland began his education at NDSU and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Orland and Marlys moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he work for the city of Milwaukee. After two years, they moved to Detroit Lakes and he worked for Harvey W. Nelson Construction in Lake Park for nine years. Orland and Marlys then moved to Moorhead, where he went to work for Abbott/Arne/Schwindt Incorporated for thirty-five years, retiring in 2002. After his retirement, they made their home in Detroit Lakes.
