Elsie Carlson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Elsie died peacefully with her husband and children at her side.

Elsie was born on Nov 23, 1925 to Tora and Magnus Wrede in Fertile. MN. She attended grade school in Glyndon; her family moved to Valley City where she graduated from Valley City High school in 1944, then on to graduate from Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing. While in Bismarck, she met and fell in love with Levi Carlson, a farmer from Nome, ND. They were married on February 28, 1948 in a blinding blizzard. After retirement, they spent winters in Mesa, Arizona enjoying the warm weather and the company of good friends.

Paul Ormbreck, 84, of Ulen, MN died Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Sanford Health Systems, Fargo, ND.

David Paul Ormbreck was born to Christian and Christine (Vesterheim) Ormbreck on February 26, 1929 in Ulen. Paul attended school in Ulen where he graduated from Ulen High School with the class of 1948. He then attended Grand Forks Commercial College earning a certificate in business in 1949. Paul started his career in banking with Northwestern State Bank in Ulen. He moved through a number of responsibilities and at retirement in 1992, was in charge of the bank's insurance department. He remained on their board of directors for a number of years.
