The Comets lost to Valley City State in the Association of Independent Institutions tournament semifinals and were forced to wait more than four days to find out their postseason fate. Either way, Mayville State is making history.

Clarice Grandbois Eken
Clarice passed away on February 28, 2013 at her home in Fargo surrounded by her loving family.
Clarice Sauvageau was born on October 2, 1932, the daughter of Gideon and Cecelia (Trottier) Sauvageau near Hickson, ND. She grew up on the family farm and received her education. She later moved with her family to Fargo. Clarice was united in marriage to Maurice Grandbois on July 12, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo where they raised their family. Maurice passed away on March 16, 1985.

Lenora M. Sommer, 84, of Cavalier, ND went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier,ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, March 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Lenora was born March 25, 1928 near St. Thomas, ND to John and Mathilda (Pfeifer) Heuchert. She graduated from Cavalier High School in 1945, and then attended Mayville State College. She taught school for three years in rural Pembina County.
