Historical society gets grant to make new Hjemkomst video
MOORHEAD – The 30th anniversary celebration of the voyage of the Hjemkomst to Norway will include the creation of a new video to document the reunion of the crew. The project, titled “Thirty Years After the Dream: The Hjemkomst Legacy,” is being funded in part with a $15,000 grant to the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County from the state through the Minnesota Historical Society.

• 1971: The idea was first hatched when Moorhead teacher Bob Asp was downing pots of coffee with his brother, Bjarne.
