Howard J. Fischer
Howard J. Fischer, 87, Lisbon, formerly of Fargo, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the North Dakota Veteran’s Home, Lisbon.

Howard was born April 22, 1925 to August “Gus” and Verna (Rintoul) Fischer in Leonard, North Dakota. He grew up in the Leonard area, where he attended school. His father was the owner/operator of Fischer Lumber, now Sheyenne Valley. Howard enlisted into the Army serving from 1946-1947. He was stationed in Germany. He returned to Fargo where he married Bonnie Mae LaBlanc at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 1951. The couple made their home in Fargo. Howard worked for Gamble Robinson's from 1947-1967. From 1967-1990 he worked for Holsum Bakery/Pan-O-Gold as a baker. He retired in 1990 at the age of 65.
