LaVonne Irene Schossow
LaVonne Irene Schossow (nee Roesler) of Muskego, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at age 65.

She was the daughter of the late Delphin and Ada Roesler of Leonard, ND. LaVonne married Wayne Schossow of rural Leonard, ND in 1968. He preceded her in death in 2009 after 41 years of marriage. She is survived by her loving children, Angela (Todd) Geszvain and Matthew Schossow. Proud grandmother of Andrew, Kayla and Elizabeth Geszvain. LaVonne is further survived by her six older brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Roesler, Wayne (Nola) Roesler, Lyle (friend, JoAnn Larson) Roesler, Gene Roesler, Gary (Chris) Roesler and Kent (Deb) Roesler.

Tracy B. Moen, 63, Frazee, MN, died on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND, with his wife and sons by his side.

Tracy Bryce Moen was born April 1, 1950, in Fargo, ND, to Ted and Margaret (Johnson) Moen and on that day, the world became a better place because of it. He grew up in Hunter, ND, where he and his siblings were raised on a farm outside of town. Tracy graduated high school from Hunter and went on to attend NDSU. He farmed alongside family near Hunter and worked at Butler Machinery following his schooling. Tracy married Opal Gunderson on March 10, 1984, and they lived in Hunter while owning and operating Moen’s Gasoline Alley from 1985 to 1991. He then worked for Safety-Kleen in Fargo until 2005. In that time, Tracy, Opal and their two sons moved to Rochert, MN, in 1997, where they lived on Cotton Lake. He began to work for Strata Corporation in Detroit Lakes, MN, and had continued to work there since. Tracy and Opal moved into Frazee, MN, in 2009 where they made their home.

Feds have found 721 violations on BNSF tracks in ND since 2006
WASHINGTON – Federal inspectors have issued more than 700 violations to BNSF Railway in the past eight years for defects on its tracks in North Dakota, according to a letter from the Federal Railroad Administration. Those 721 violations came about from 3,822 FRA inspections across the state since 2006, which discovered a total of about 13,141 defects on BNSF’s network.

Dolly P. Fisk
Dolly P. Fisk, 87, of Casselton, ND, passed away February 13, at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND. She was born April 18, 1926, in Page, ND, to Victor and Lutie (Wood) Warrey. She graduated from Page High School and resided in Berkeley, CA, during part of WWII where she worked at Borden’s Cafe. When back in ND, she worked as a telephone operator in Wahpeton, ND, and later at the Page Drug Store. She was united in marriage to Harold D. Fisk on Oct. 14, 1953. They lived in Ayr, ND, for 52 years.

She was a longtime member of the Ayr Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Ladies Aid and was the substitute organist. She had many longtime friends in her Birthday Club as well. She also was the substitute postal clerk at the Ayr Post Office.
