Virginia Neumiller, age 88, of Carrington, ND, formerly of Sykeston, ND, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

Virginia Schaack was born on July 15, 1924, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Laber) Schaack on the family farm in Bilodeau Township in Wells County. She was raised on the farm and attended Dover Country school and graduated from Sykeston High School in 1942. After graduating, Virginia worked at Sykeston Grocery Store.

Douglas D. Orndorff, age 68, husband of Arlene Holtz, of New Rockford, ND, formerly of Oranda, VA, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, ND.

Douglas D Orndorff was born on February 28, 1944, at the family home in Oranda, Virginia to Archie and Irene (Spiker) Orndorff. He lived, worked and raised a family in Virginia. He loved working with anything mechanical. He met the love of his life, Arlene Holtz, in 2009, and hey were married on August 14, 2010 in Warwick, ND. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Holtz of New Rockford, ND, daughters Bambi Frank of Harrisonburg, VA, Misti Wisman of Broadway, VA and one son Douglas (Teresa) Orndorff of Port Republic, VA, two stepdaughters; four brothers; two sisters; 5 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.

Lenora was born March 25, 1928 near St. Thomas, ND to John and Mathilda (Pfeifer) Heuchert. She graduated from Cavalier High School in 1945, and then attended Mayville State College. She taught school for three years in rural Pembina County.

Sean Lionel Michael Ray
Sean Lionel Michael Ray was killed in an automobile accident near Barnesville, Minnesota, on 18 February, which also claimed the life of his beloved partner, Judy Reid. He was 49 years old.

Sean was born in Manitou, Manitoba, Canada, in 1963 to Grayce (Cassidy) Ray and Timothy Ray. As a youngster, he moved with the family to various locations in the United States, settling in the Fargo/Moorhead area in 1970. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1981 and attended North Dakota State University, excelling principally in his passion, soccer. He was a gregarious and popular athlete, especially enjoying associating with the international students who then composed the soccer program. Soccer, both playing and coaching, continued to be an important part of his life.
