Annie Amb, 88, of Portland, ND, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND.

Annie was born October 27, 1925 to Nels and Jennie (Larson) Selid in rural McKenzie County, ND. She graduated from Watford City High School and then received her Registered Nurse degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Fargo, ND. Annie married Alvin Amb in Pasadena, CA in 1947. They returned to Portland to farm and raise a family. Annie was nursing supervisor at Tri-County Nursing Home in Hatton, ND for several years.
