It was the story behind the story, and for all these years, nobody doubted the talent of former North Dakota State runner Mike Bollman. The fact that he was an NCAA Division II cross country champion was probably not a surprise to those who coached him.
FARGO – North Dakota State spent a few years scheduling volleyball opponents Louisville, Wisconsin and Northern Iowa. The Bison made road trips to all three Division I programs with the idea that all three would return to Fargo someday.
Beck claims self-defense in bar fight; resisting arrest charge still pending
FARGO – Cass County prosecutors on Thursday dropped a felony assault charge against a star linebacker for the North Dakota State University football team, saying he may have acted in self-defense in a brawl last weekend that left a man unconscious.
FARGO – The attorney for Travis Beck, a star linebacker for North Dakota State University’s football team, said Beck’s conduct “was entirely defensible” in an incident outside a downtown bar here Sunday morning that led to charges of felony aggravated assault.
FARGO – North Dakota State is close on three important issues facing the athletic department this month: Finding an 11th football opponent, securing a contract extension for the head men’s basketball coach and generating the funds for the renovation of the Bison Sports Arena.
FARGO – A standout North Dakota State University football player was charged Monday with felony aggravated assault, accused of beating a man unconscious in a downtown Fargo street after the bars let out early Sunday.
