SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah announced Monday it is hiring a pair of outside investigators to review allegations of physical abuse and inappropriate behavior by the school's ousted swim coach.
FARGO – Mairin Jameson, a 2010 Fargo Oak Grove High School graduate, placed in three diving events to help the University of Idaho women’s swimming and diving team to a fourth-place finish at the Western Athletic Conference meet held in San Antonio last weekend.
MINNEAPOLIS – Michael Aasness earned second place in 1-meter diving as Fergus Falls picked up a sixth-place finish in Class 1A at the Minnesota state boys swimming and diving championships Saturday at the University of Minnesota’s Aquatic Center.
FARGO – Tanner Bjorlie won the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyles Saturday, lifting Fargo North to the team championship at the Eastern Dakota Conference boys swimming and diving championships at Davies High School.
FARGO – Last season ended with Fargo North and West Fargo sharing the North Dakota state boys swimming team championship.
On Friday, the Spartans and Packers met again, but there was no tie this time around.
Moorhead - There’s something afloat with the Moorhead girls swimming and diving team. The Spuds have an individual and a relay team competing in today’s Minnesota Class 2A state swimming and diving meet in Minneapolis, and they have broken records along the way.
BISMARCK — This was an awfully long time coming.
No team from the East had won a North Dakota state girls swimming titles since 1977, but Fargo North put and end to that drought in dramatic fashion on Saturday.
The Spartans won four events while toppling three-time defending champion Bismarck Century, defeating the Patriots 386 to 336.
“It’s the best feeling ever,” North sophomore Ellie Roche said. “I’m just so happy for everyone.”
