OMAHA, Neb. – Tanner Dahl went 1-for-2 and knocked in a run that gave the West Fargo Patriots an early 1-0 lead over Lake Charles (La.), but it wasn’t enough as Lake Charles took the 9-1 win on Sunday at the Battle for Omaha American Legion baseball tournament.
The Moorhead Blues hit three straight homers as part of a 10-run sixth inning to break a 7-7 tie and defeat Morris 17-7 in the Red River Diamond Classic American Legion baseball tournament Friday at Matson Field.
The West Fargo Patriots (9-2 overall) posted two wins at the Red River Diamond Classic on Friday.
The Patriots defeated Yorkton 2-0 and Manitoba 8-1.
West Fargo’s wins resulted from a power surge at the plate. The Patriots collected four home runs in the two games.
