Doctors say a Mahnomen County (Minn.) sheriff’s deputy shot in the line of duty 17 months ago has two to seven days to live, his uncle Eric Dewey said Thursday evening.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher Dewey is making physical and mental improvements during his ongoing rehab and may be released as soon as May 6 from a specialty hospital here, his doctors said today.
