BISMARCK — The North Dakota Legislature adjourned this morning until Monday, due to flooding in Fargo, Bismarck, Mandan and other areas of the state. Both houses met at 11 a.m., this morning, made announcements and adjourned. The Senate adjourned by about 11:15 and the House by 11:30. Members of the appropriations committees will stay and work.
MOORHEAD - Minn. Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Kris Eide and Major General Larry Shellito, the Minnesota National Guard adjutant general, will visit here this afternoon to be briefed by local emergency management officials about flood preparations in the Red River Valley.
