Ray Lies

Raymond "Ray" James Lies was born June 17, 1979, in Harvey, ND, the son of Peter and Sandi (Johnson) Lies. Ray died on June 16, 2013.

Ray is survived by his parents; sisters, Nicholl Thigpen, of Georgia, Andrea (Butch) Lies, Rapid City, SD, Jean (John) Schuster and family, New Rockford; brothers, Dion (Paula) Lies and family, Harrah, OK, Brett (Luann) Lies, Maple Grove, MN, and Dan (Ashley) Lies, New Rockford, Grandmas Lois Johnson and Mildred Lies, both of New Rockford.

Jon Purdy, Age 46 of Rock Springs, Wy. passed away suddenly on June 12, 2013. He was born on February 19, 1967 to Eli and Beverly (Heller) Purdy in Fargo, North Dakota.

He moved to Wyoming in 1981 and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1985. Jon married Cathy Brooks in 1986.

Patricia Moore Boss

Patricia Moore Boss, 87 passed peacefully Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND.

Patricia (Pat) Anderson was born August 30, 1925 in Bismarck, ND the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Moore) Anderson. She grew up in Jamestown, graduated from Jamestown High and attended Jamestown College for a year before adventuring to California to help in the WWII effort to work at Lockheed Air Force Base. She spoke of this time with great pride and how she delivered the mail from under the bases’ gigantic camouflage mesh. On May 14, 1945 Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Delbert R. Boss in San Antonio, TX while he was attending US Army Corps flight training. They later made their home in Jamestown and raised her family there. In 1991 Pat moved to Fargo, ND where she lived for the remainder of her life until moving to Wishek Living Center last January.

Rob D. Hendrickson

Much-loved husband, father and grandfather, Robin Dean Hendrickson, 56, of West Fargo, passed away June 15, 2013.

He was born February 27, 1957 to Arne and Lucille Hendrickson in Mayville, ND. Robin grew up in Courtenay, ND where he enjoyed working in the grain elevator with his dad. Robin went on to college at Brown Institute and received his Associate’s Degree in Broadcasting. Robin made his way out to Honolulu, HI where he started his career at KGMB TV. Robin found his way back to the Midwest area where he married his high school sweetheart, Marlene Falk. They had three children together. Robin enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and his grandchildren. He had a love for playing and watching sports. He also enjoyed playing pool and fishing.

Mary Lou Anderson

Mary Lou (Bueide) Anderson was born February 24, 1930, to Oscar and Marie Bueide. The family lived on a farm near Rustad, MN, and moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1936. Mary Lou attended Moorhead High School and graduated in 1947. She attended Concordia College, where she met her husband, Thomas S. Anderson, whom she married on October 2, 1948. Tom passed away in 2007. Since then, Mary Lou was a resident of Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Detroit Lakes, MN, where she died on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

After their marriage, Mary Lou and Tom moved to Perham, MN, for two years and then moved to Moorhead, where she worked at Moorhead City Hall and the Moorhead Street Department. They then resided in North Mankato, MN, Milwaukee, WI, and finally moved to Mt. Prospect, IL, in 1964. Mary Lou was employed for 20 years as an administrative assistant, and, at the time of her retirement, the secretary to the executive in charge of the Des Plaines, IL, office of the Austin Company. When she retired in 1993, they moved back to the Fargo-Moorhead area.
